Log Cabin and String quilts

Over the years of my quilting career I seem to come back to my two favorite patterns(?).  I love all forms of log cabin and string quilts.  For me a string quilt is a quilt made from sewing with strips by sewing to a foundation.  A log cabin is any block that starts with a center and uses strips(logs) to build from the center.  I think we all seem to gravitate to a certain look or feel after we have been quilting for a while.  There are many other types of quilting and fiber arts I love to work with.  I definitely think that string quilting and log cabins do influence a lot of what I do.
